For subjects like Biology and American Government, state assessments play a significant role. Starting from the 2024-2025 school year, these assessments will constitute 20% of the final grade, with each quarter contributing 20%.
Advancement to the next grade level in high school is contingent upon earning a specific number of credits:
- Grade 10: Completion of 5 credits, including one in English or Mathematics, and one year of high school attendance.
- Grade 11: Accumulation of 10 credits, with at least one credit each in English and Mathematics, and two years of high school attendance.
- Grade 12: Achievement of 14 credits, including two in English and two in Mathematics, successful completion of Health I and Lifetime Fitness courses, and three years of high school attendance.
